28 Aug The Resources that Can Help Your Child Learn About Their Smile
Do you ever want your child to know more about their smile? If so, our dentist, Dr. Desiree T. Palmer, DMD , and dental team are happy to hear that! The more your child knows about their teeth, gums, and oral health, the better because they will likely take better care of their smile. So, to help you entertain as well as educate your child, we encourage you to use the available resources.
One resource is Colgate. Colgate offers a variety of different games and activities that help kids learn more about their smile and even achieve their oral hygiene goals. It has puzzles, online pinball type games, and a printable chart that allows kids to earn stickers and prizes when they brush, floss, and rinse when needed.
Another resource is Crest. Crest helps add to the learning pool by helping knowledge-hungry kids with their creative “Crest Eggsperiment.” This activity shows kids what their teeth would look like after drinking certain drinks. The effects on the hard-boiled egg will be the same as the effects on the teeth.
The last resource is the American Dental Association. The ADA has many games and activities that can help your child learn more about their smile, including videos about brushing (these videos feature fun characters like Elmo), games that involve trips to the dentist, and online quiz games.
